Suspected Balloon 'Popping Sound' Triggers Panic

At approximately 8:30 p.m., a loud "popping" sound was heard near the "it's a small world" attraction. Guests and employees alike reported panic and confusion in the area.

According to OCSO, the sound was likely caused by a burst balloon. However, initial reports of a possible explosion or active shooter situation caused widespread concern.

Park Temporarily Evacuated
