Stacey Dooley has revealed she's "fighting to save her home" as she lays bare the extent of her money worries.

The former Strictly Come Dancing winner, 35, candidly opened up about her "really scary" financial situation, admitting she's been "terrified" about losing her home.

Speaking to The Sunday Times, Stacey revealed she's been struggling to make ends meet since the Covid pandemic hit, causing her work to dry up.

The TV presenter, who lives in a £1.5 million home in Brighton with her boyfriend Kevin Clifton, admitted she's been "really struggling" to keep up with the mortgage payments.

"I've been really struggling with money," she said. "I'm fighting to save my home. It's really scary. I've been terrified about losing my house."

Stacey, who won Strictly in 2018, said she's been forced to sell her car and take on extra work to try and make ends meet.

"I've sold my car. I've had to take on extra work," she said.

"I'm doing lots of things I don't want to do, but it's out of necessity. I'm not proud of it, but I'm doing what I have to do to survive."

Stacey's revelation has shocked her fans, many of whom were unaware of her financial struggles.

Many have taken to social media to express their support for the star, with some offering to help her financially.
